Felipe joined Redwheel in September 2020 as macroeconomist for the Redwheel Emerging and Frontier Markets strategies. Felipe started his career in 2009 conducting economic research at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand and at the Central Bank of Chile, where he held the positions of Economist and Economic advisor to the governor. His research focused on international economics, monetary policy and forecasting. Most recently, Felipe was an Economist at Deutsche Bank EM Research in New York. Felipe holds a Ph.D. and MA in Economics from the University of Chicago. He also holds an MA in Financial Economics and a BA in Business and Economics from the Catholic University of Chile. Felipe is fluent in French and Spanish.
